This is the first novel-length instalment in a series of fanfiction stories, which will follow Harry Potter from the summer after his first year at Hogwarts onward.
When Harry returns to the Dursleys after the events of Philosopher's Stone, his summer gets off to a terrible start. Albus intervenes, taking Harry back to the castle for the remainder of the holiday and assuming responsibility for him. Come see how multiple POVs and changing relationships slowly shape Harry's world!
Warning to readers: Changes to canon are slow and quite deliberate - this is an epic fanfiction that has been thoroughly plotted. It will NOT be a majorly-AU story, at least not at first... the focus is instead on the multiple POV characters and the building deviation caused by the events of that first summer.

Harry Potter and the Name of the Moon
Harry and his friends are in between second and third year and have been invited to a prestigious summer camp; Haverford Academy located in the mountains of Wales. They'll have the time of their lives, but as usual, where Harry Potter goes trouble always seems to follow. This is a full length novel so the plot will take time to fully develop, I hope you it keeps your interest all the way through! This story will have many main Potter characters but I've added a new setting and some original characters. When I copied it into Wattpad the formatting disappeared so I will work on correcting that so dialogue is easier to read, in the meantime I apologize for the inconvenience. I wrote this for my wife as a Christmas present. I didn't know much about Harry Potter but I knew that she loved it and I had a story in mind. Please forgive any errors, I wrote this in four months and I had no editor. I've never written anything before and I'm no Potter aficionado but I wanted this story to have the strong flavor of an original Potter book.
