Back before Damon was a vampire, and back before he met Katerina Patrova, he met Maria. He and Maria were forbade to see each other but they wouldn't let that happen. They snuck around for a while until a certain good-for-nothing dopplewench showed up and then they broke it off. What Damon didn't know was that she was pregnant. She had a daughter named Diana Rose Salvatore (Diana in honor of Damon and Salvatore since it is his last name). What happens when Diana gets turned at 13 (and is stuck that way for eternity) and decides to visit her dad when he returns back to Mystic Falls
