Gary Allan has been having it rough. He's spent the majority of his time out of the spotlight. Due to his wife taking her own life, and him blaming himself, he'd kept himself scarce and gave himself time to cope. But finds comfort in writing songs. But cant bring himself to record anything in the studio.
When he meets a woman a bit younger than him whose lost her spouse just the same way. She finds comfort in being with Gary. And he too finds comfort in her and they develop a therapeutic relationship with one another. But what if one of them starts falling for the other to fast and too hard...will they be a perfect match or cause more heartache for the both of them.
