Selena think she will get this lawyer job if she has all the materials and answer all of the questions that the court house ask her. But when she gets turn down she was very mad, because she tried so hard and when she went home she called her mother and told her that the court house didn't give her the job. Selena's mother was very upset but when her mother replied "Do you ever think that the court house turned you down was because you are a woman, sometimes it's hard for African American and Caucasian woman to get jobs these day even in my days."
