I've been hidden in the dark. Kept from a world that I've never known. All I want, all I've ever wanted, is to feel. To have a soul. But what is the cost for a soul? What are these things lurking in the dark?

Where in the secret to life the universe and everything is revealed. Who says entertaining writing has to have a story, or a plot? Why can't it be just a stream of consciousness, some interesting episodes from one's life, some regrets revisited, some apologies long overdue, some philosophical speculations and some plain nonsense to keep it entertaining?

Ladies, gentlemen and all other unspecified beings of the world, the undead are rising. The living are dying. And the soulless have souls. I am Spiral. The Narrator of this pitiful story. I am your saviour, narrator and your killer. You will forget me one day, but when you feel yourself safe, then I will be there. And whether you are at Death's door or not, you will have long passed the gates to the Pit by the time I have arrived. And you will only be brought back to a newer, harsher life, far worse than the first. You have no hope. You will never have hope. We are the hope.

This is a reader insert... you, reader are a normal human in earths reality. Well as normal as a human with dimension travel can be. You decide after watching The Devils a Part Timer that you are going to go there while summer break is going on, will there be some romance and comedy?

Many might see death and its companions (e.g. grief, depression etc.) as harmful experiences in life. But this story tries to tackle this perception and recount a story that portrays my view of death as an old friend that pays his visits not because he enjoys seeing you die, but because he cares about your transition. After all, life is what's killing us, death is just the observer, one that cares more about you than you might expect.
