AJ Demurs had many nicknames. Turtle, Armadillo. They may seem random to you, but they weren't to the people who went around AJ.
She was a shy, keep-to-yourself kind of gal. She hasn't spoken a word the entire three years she was in Riverview High School. It's her senior year now and she's still going strong on the whole not talking thing. The teachers were told she was mute but her classmates knew she just wasn't one to favor socializing.
Everyone gave up on trying to talk to her; that is until Josh Edwards, the school's biggest hunk and jock, decides he was going to get her to talk to him by the end of the year. Of course, his friend group made it into a bet.
Would he get her to talk and take the money and leave, or would he stay for the ride?
