I kept my eyes focused on the ‘shooting star’. As time ticked away, the closer the bright light came. My eyes widened and jaws dropped. Cold fear surged my stomach.
Piang.
I saw a hammer in Hayden’s hand and a broken window. “Get out immediately!”
The seven of us rushed for the emergency door. I knew in seconds, we would be burst into pieces by the dangerous ‘shooting star’.
“I thought shooting stars are always in the sky?” I blurted out.
“It’s a meteoroid.” Chase said, urging us to get out of the bus immediately. "We don’t have much time.
We jumped out of the emergency exit window and ran for our life. I was not tired, but my legs felt like they had been running a marathon. I felt the heat from the meteoroid getting hotter and hotter, searing my skin.
