Nicole Galligher is no ordinary teenage girl, well, alright she is quite 'ordinary'. Though would you think it's ordinary that at just 18 years old, she's a team captain, 12 time regular season MVP winner, four time Olympic Gold Medal winner, All Star Captain and has been named the 'Wayne Gretzky' of women's ice hockey?

It isn't just her skill and talent that's captivated the world, it's who she is. She's just like any other teenage girl except she's a professional hockey player. Galligher is quite a softie, always caring for others before herself.
But she can become the devil anytime she pleases. One moment she'll be all cheary on a goal or a play, next thing you know gloves are down and then you have a bleeding opponent on the ice.

On her 19th birthday Galligher will be lacing up to play for Team Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games on home ice.

Much is expected from the Captain, especially some heart warming acts of kindness and who could forget the brutal fights.

She is what her fans call her a tough softie or as people have come to know her as: Toughie Mushy
