I ran through my snowy territory, Afraid of the pack of wolves chasing me through the night... I wimpered as I fumbled on my paws, Howling for some sort of saviour to come out of the shadows. I yelped as the largest wolf tackled me to the icy snow, I looked up into the male wolfs hungry eyes before he took a bite at my left leg... That was it, I bit his muzzle and rolled over and ran away limping, again howling for some sort of saviour...

My father stood facing me with a smug grin. Again, I attempted to stomp into the house when suddenly, my mother jumped out at me out of no where and pelted snowballs at my entire body, I noticed through the chaos my big sister was also helping her. "OKAY! I surrender!" I cried, falling back into the icy blanket with tears of laughter flowing from my eyes. ********* I gasped as I woke from my dream. I looked at the forest around me. Cold, dark and empty. I still had hope that they were just hiding and that this was all just a bad dream, but after a moment or two of listening to the trees creaking, I sighed. I was alone.

I couldn't do it anymore. I couldn't run any further. My aching paws pounded against the hard ground of the forest as I ran further and further from my packs territory. I looked behind my wolf and saw about five other wolves including a giant black wolf that I'm assuming was the Alpha's. I wasn't to sure though because I'd never actually seen his wolf. In fact, I'd never seen any other wolves apart from my own. During fights I was always locked in a cell in the basement so that I was never at risk of getting hurt or worse, killed. I had to stay alive for the sake of the pack. I kept them together, kept them strong; even if it meant being their punching bag. And that's why I'd never ran away till now. Why?
