Victor felt his face turn red with rage. He felt his blood boil with fury. He really felt like punching that smirk off Clyde's face, but he knew that would only make things worse. He felt like he could hardly hold in the anger.

All of a sudden, he noticed a cup of cooldrink and some left over food on the edge of a table next to Clyde. He felt still and focused. He felt as if he had slowed down time. With a slight flick of his wrist, the cup toppled over and the food splattered.

Sarah is the third-born child of the Day family and the sole successor of her family's shop. On her 19th birthday, she was surprised when her second older brother, Dorian, presented her with a strange yellow amulet as a present. Though she didn't have much knowledge of how he was able to acquire such a valuable item, Sarah was still thankful for the little gift. Little did she know that only a few days later, Dorian, along with a few other magicians, would mysteriously vanish without a trace and the seemingly innocent gift she received would be the only clue to where they all could've gone. This left Sarah in desperate need to find her brother. With no one else to turn to, she set out alone to search for them. During her desperate search, she encounters a mysterious man with an unknown past who accompanies Sarah on her journey. At first, many arguments ensued between the two, but slowly, they learned to trust one another, realizing that their best chance at finding Dorian lay in their combined effort. What Sarah didn't know about that man was that he had a secret that he made sure she would never find out. Who could be responsible for all the disappearances? Will Sarah and her new friend be able to find the missing people? Or will the secrets of the past consume them? Only time will tell. (Inspired by many books such as Howl's Moving Castle, Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, etc.) -needs a lot of editing- Credits to my friend @serreines for the book cover!!

He smiled. The devil himself couldn't have crafted a more wicked grin. "What do you say we play a game, little Reaper?" I narrowed my eyes, trying to decipher his intentions. "What kind of game?" His grin widened, showing the tips of his fangs. I watched the prince curiously as he strode over to his bag. With a swift motion, he withdrew a bow and a quiver of arrows, flinging them at my feet without so much as a second glance. I furrowed my eyebrows, casting him a look of uncertainty. That sinister grin stayed plastered upon his lips as he said, "Run." *** I, Skyla Ashforth, am what some might call a "sociopath." It was a title that fit. Why shouldn't I embrace it? I am a vampire slayer, a Reaper of bloodsuckers, and an exceptionally good one, if I do say so myself. Yes, being a sociopath has its perks; I could manipulate and deceive with the best of them. So, when captured by the notorious Red Prince, I embraced the challenge of manipulating my freedom. Pierce Darcee, was a sadistic vampire with a God complex. The fool actually believed he could break me. Little did he know, I was the kind of Reaper who would dance through a battlefield, whistling a merry tune as I twirled my braids. I relished the challenge of manipulating his oversized ego, planning to stab that rotting, blackened heart of his with a venom-laced dagger. I crafted a scheme so delightful, so intricate, that I couldn't help but salivate at the prospect of victory. It was foolproof, or so my mind believed. But then... then there was that pull. That unexpected, unwelcome spark that ignited something within me. Feelings, of all things! Now, that was a complication. Disgusting, messy feelings that could very well lead to my destruction. Or his. It was a dangerous game we played, but then again, the most thrilling ones usually are. *Rated M for Murder, Mayhem, and some profanity. Sorry but no smutty interludes. You've stumbled into a blood bath, not a bodice ripper.*

"Well," he suddenly informed, his voice a mere whisper that sent shivers down my spine, "facts about vampires include their ability to sense the desires of others from just a few distances." "And aside from those two whose desires are choking the place, another one lingers, and that's you, Red," he stated. I could feel the warmth of his breath, tantalizingly close, as it brushed against my ear, sending a rush of sensations through my body. "W-What?" Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?
