A man walking into the forest like he owns it with his face covered with all the anger in the whole world if possible and with blood oozing from his knuckles.

However, when he was in middle of the forest, he felt something falling into his hands and was about to drop it but then stilled knowing that he can't do that.

He looked down to see a girl in his arms with a bruised face and torn clothes. She whispered only two words 'help me!' and then drifted off into unconsciousness.

He has always been a knight in shining armor and she seemed to be a typical damsel in complete distress.

Will he help her and make sure to do it completely or will he not? Or is she really our own typical damsel in distress at all?

"All's fair in love and war, or some shit, right?" He said, his smirk drawing to a slight sneer as he padded towards the open balcony. He rested his hands on the guardrail before letting out an exasperated sigh, thunder rolling behind it. The rain cascaded onto the tile in sheets, blowing the soft cream curtains back and forth. "Or some shit." I smiled, walking towards him. I could see the tension grow in his back and shoulders, his struggle evident. I placed my hand gently on his shoulder, trying my best to reassure him. I could feel his breathing hitch slightly at my touch; his response was all I needed to reassure me I was doing the right thing. My touch was welcomed. I leaned my head on his back, wrapping my hands around his waist. I longed to take away his pain; I hated seeing anyone this upset. She wasn't worth his time. He said so himself- he's never found a woman worth changing plans for. Maybe he meant since her, I can't be sure. I look down at the frail frame of the girl. I unlatched her cage and nudged her with my foot. It seems cruel, but the other trainers would have done much worse to see her ignoring their commands to rise. "Wake up, you're being moved," I say to her, crouching down and shaking her. She lies unmoving and a heaviness settles in my chest. I move her hair from her face and press my fingers to her neck, trying to find a pulse. I purse my lips, feeling the faint beating of her weak heart. I look at the girl, watching her struggle to push air in and out of her lungs. I can tell she is sick. Do I put her in the truck with the others, or take her to the doctor? The truth is, nothing good awaits her in the truck. The only question is if it is crueler to go put her with the others, unconscious and barely holding on, or to take her to the doctor. I feel sick just thinking about it. She either dies here, or will wish she would have. I can't turn a blind eye to her though, I can't stand and watch as the life leaves her. Perhaps she will be thankful for me saving her life. ---- Hazel. She's a pretty little thing, far too precious and fragile for the life she was born into. Having lived most of her life in a training facility, she knows little of the beauty of the world or the people in it. A punishment gone bad, forever mares her, leaving her crippled, undesirable. Axel. He's an average man with an abnormal size. Being a Trainer, he is expected to be cold and cruel, someone he is not. It pays him money though, so perhaps living up to that expectation isn't that bad? When confronted with a choice he finally has to choose who he wants to be. Will he live up to others expectations? Or will he choose what may not be easiest, but what is right?

"What are you gonna do? Call for help and cry?" He cooed. "Shut the fuck up!" Damsel shoved him away, only to be slammed back against the wall again. "I'm a damsel in distress! Help! Help! Where's my Knight in shining Armour!" Darren mimicked a high-pitched girly voice as he held back his laughter, grinning from ear to ear. He couldn't help but lean down dangerously close to Damsel's face Smiling, causing the younger to scrunch up his nose in disgust in result. Sure, the boy was annoying, but the pure satisfaction of the reactions he could get from the younger set a bomb of butterflies to explode in Darren's stomach. "Darren I'm not in the mood- fuck off!" Damsel spat in his face, the spit landing on Darren's cheek. Blood was rushing to Damsel's head, as he desperately tried to calm down whilst being trapped between the muscled arms resting on the wall behind him. He was flustered to say the least as his heart beat started thumping ever so loudly, Darren's nose just inches away from his. Darren could only scoff as he wiped away the spit that landed on his cheek, flames boiling and evident in his eyes, yet he wasnt sure if it was anger, annoyance, or something else. He aggressively lifted damsel's gaze with a tight grip on the younger's chin. Dominance coated his next words as a smirk grew on Darren's face. "But your knight's right here princess, where are you gonna run off to?" -------------- Damsel prince and Darren Knight. Ironic, right? You wouldn't catch these two getting along even if they were locked up in a closet together; they'd just be trying to rip each-other's throats out. That's just how they were. They'd do any little thing to piss the other off, it didn't matter what, when, or how, they wanted a negative reaction out of the other and that was it. Enemies. Both alphas, both hot-headed, both with anger issues. And both hated eachother. They had far too many similarities. [x]

❝You are just a WOMAN. You can't fight in this war, you're weak. It will chew you up and spit you out, you can't keep up with us.❞ The commander scoffed with a low chuckle. A couple of men behind him chuckled as well. Evander's gaze burned into the side of my head, awaiting my reply like everyone else. ❝If I can't fight, then why did the Queen herself ask me to take over your job for the time being?❞ I asked, pulling my dagger out from its sheath, taping on Commander Leland's breastplate with the tip, ❝Careful who you call weak Commander because you clearly don't know who I am.❞ He crossed his arms defensively, ❝Oh yeah? And who are you?❞ I leaned forward lightly, ❝The name's Aislin.❞ ________________ Her name was well-known throughout the kingdoms. Some believed she was just an urban legend, while others thought she was real but some believed she didn't exist at all. She was labeled "the infamous warrior" because she was known for destroying kingdoms with her bare hands. She was a woman, but she set a strong example for tens of thousands of men. She disappeared after a horrific accident. Years had passed, and she had led a life free of violence. After all those years, she was itching to return to the battlefield. Her wish was granted when Queen Aria of Kavan herself approached her and informed her of the events unfolding in her kingdom, requesting her assistance. A sexist Commander, a caring queen, a slacker army, new friendships, and an intriguing yet hothead prince are among the challenges she faces. She's got a lot to handle. --- REVIEWS (more inside) "If you put equal portions of action, adventure, comedy, mystery, romance & feminism in a ninja blender and set it to high power, YOU 👏 GET👏 AISLIN👏.
