For 'Rachel and Oscar' there wasn't too much question about it. What they did was who they were. Which leads us to Ruby being a single writer waiting for the love she lost. Not much has happened (in terms of life events) since they left each other. Until, of course, her book became famous.

This was never meant to be my life. My life had been decided when I was 14. But 20 years later, it was completely undecided by circumstances I had less than no control over. Rolex Ruby uncovers the tragic story of poverty; the drastic effects of unemployment and disability as well as exploring the social dynamics that 12 year old Ruby has to adapt to. Just a little background... This is only a short story which I wrote for my Extended Project Qualification for college. The qualification required me to find a subject of interest and to use my skills to either create a product or write a report. Having always loved writing, I decided to write a book. Rolex Ruby was then researched extensively before being written. Once my first draft was complete, I and my parents (Andy and Julia) edited it thoroughly so there *fingers crossed* shouldn't be any mistakes - though don't hesitate to point anything out! I painted the covers and bound the book myself. I also had to write a report and do a presentation to gain the qualification along with the 12000 word story.
