I had a terrible feeling that I simply could not shake. I shoved my hands in my pockets, hunching my body over and quickened my pace. I repeatedly looked back over my shoulder, my heart racing faster and faster. I pulled my headphones from my ears, paranoid that there were footsteps I wasn't hearing. I stopped, looking around me. There was defiantly someone...or something....else out here tonight. Suddenly, I heard a low growl coming from behind me and I slowly turned around. There before me stood a large wolf. It was not the wolf I had hit with my car. One of it's eyes glowed red while the other was scarred and dead. The wolf was covered in patchy grey fur that was dirty and matted. He had scars and bald spots covering most of his body. He was thin and scrawny, almost as though he was starving. He had this crazy gleam in his eye that made me take a step back. As I did, I tripped over my own feet and fell on my back. I tried to scramble to my feet, but the wolf was already upon me. He pinned me flat on my back and ripped into my stomach, slashing away with his sharp claws. I tried to scream, but my breath was caught in my chest. Unable to move, I lay there defenseless. I gasped, struggling against him. My chest moved up and down with my rapid breaths as I began to hyperventilate. Soon, the pain was too much for me to handle. My eyes glazed over and my limbs grew heavy. My body went limp and my mind fell into the darkness.
