A 'Mortal Instruments' Fanfiction - Clary has always lived and been brought up by her father, Valentine Morgenstern. He trained her to be the best and she was but that didn't mean he was a good father. Clary had always had a tough upbringing but in ways respected her father for making her strong and without weakness. She was the perfect solider in every way. The Morgenstern name had been respected amongst the Shadowhunters and even feared for his methods. Valentine had always had big plans for Clary but on the day of her 13th birthday, he was killed in a demon attack. Ever since, Clary had lived on her own, moving from country to country and city to city, whilst still keeping up her training and studies.
Read to see what happens when Clary goes to New York and meets the Shadowhunters of the local Institute.
In this story, Valentine never made the circle and was actually a respected Shadowhunter.
