I never asked for this. I don't even really want it, but I have too much self pride to admit that or give it away. Luckily for them and for me, I'm not like the last one this school had, she was a ruthless bitch. I'm not a bitch, I have friends, real ones.
You see, I've had to make a lot of tough decisions, have had a lot of things happen to me. Some of them I wish never happened. I wish I could take it all back and start over.
Some things I wouldn't trade for the world.

Madelyn "Maddie" Williams was a normal girl. She was in the shadows, and she liked it. Everybody seemed to enjoy drama and teasing the new girl relentlessly but she knows how to stand up for herself and she can be more dangerous than they think. Some trauma from home is found and in danger of being told, things that she doesn't really want people to know. You'd think getting through high school would be easy. A certain bad boy who happens to be her neighbor takes a keen interest in her. She's never liked anyone and has had no real interest in any relationship, only her studies that kept her busy. He's smart but acts like he's the greatest and he tries to impress her but she can hardly be impressed by things she can do. I laugh as I walk down to the shore, holding the heels of my shoes as I walk far enough for the cool water to rush around my ankles. It's funny how life works out. I never pictured myself to be the girl outside the party, thinking about my life choices while I am half drunk but I guess kissing the school's bad boy does that to you. I wonder where I would be if I never met Cleo. If I never became her friend. Would I still have no friends? Would still be playing soccer? Would I have rebelled? I probably would still be drunk right now, I think to myself, and laugh bitterly, but get rudely interrupted. "Put your hands up, you are under arrest." I hear, spinning around and almost falling into the lake, but I save myself and there I see the flashing lights of the police, and a nice one holding cuffs, looking straight at me. Well this isn't good. ~*~ Quinn and Cleo are the best of friends. They do everything together, from sports to parties, to having a weekly girls night only for the two of them. They rule the school, but like any friendship, one is always has more power than the other, and that being Cleo. She made Quinn the girl she is today, because without her Quinn would be the bad girl that her attitude and personality was leading her to be. Cleo saved Quinn from herself. Are you mine?
We've all heard about 'the main character'. The type of person who lives through the most dramatic and improbable situations, and finds the kind of epic romance you only see in works of fiction. Which makes you think about how unrealistic love like that is. I used to think the same thing until I met him. Until I met 'the bad boy' that, as it turns out, wasn't that bad at all, just simply...a boy. A boy with an easy smile, a charming personality and looks so enticing that I couldn't keep my eyes off of him if I tried. A boy whose shoulders were starting to slump with the weight of his past and his family. A boy who believed that the only way to survive was by putting a lock on his heart and chaining it down to a place so deep inside of him that no one could ever reach it again. A boy who, for reasons I'll never comprehend, placed the key inside my palm and didn't shy away when I tried to free his hidden heart from its restraints. A game they will play to get back at Brooklyn's ex. How long will the game last until someone looses? Who will be the one to loose Brooklyn, Josh, or Brooklyn's ex?
