Some say that you're not really alive, unless you have people to share the world with.

Thirteen year old orphan, Bynn, could care less about the state of the earth. Why should he, when no one has ever cared about him? His problems are left unsolved, so why should Bynn help others with theirs?

This is, at least, what Bynn tells himself after fishing a boy named Mihr from a river. From there, Bynn is dragged on an adventure where he will face more danger than ever known before; fighting his own demons and others alike.

Despite the nagging thoughts from his own uncaring nature, Bynn pledges to protect a stranger and see the quest through.

Yet as the quest takes an unexpected turn, Bynn finds himself faced with the revelation that he may have a bigger role to play in the fate of the world than anyone could have ever imagined.
