Black and white. The most monotonous of the colors. A world of potential curiosity distinguished in two simple gradients of color. I have been told of this magical feeling that causes blues and greens and reds and yellows to fly out in a flurry causing you to stumble back in amazement. A single person. A single person that causes your heart to leap. This is when that thought of color truly appears to shine. There is only one problem with this thought, you may get this feeling but the other may not. This is known as love sickness. The only cure: discover a way to allow your soulmate to realize his or her destiny.

Everyone is born with a soulmate; it's commonly accepted in today's society. Everyone's world is seen in only black and white until they touch their soulmate. Once you have physically touched your soulmate, you can suddenly see in color. What happens when Dare, a high school senior, accidentally touches the artsy, irresponsible, reckless girl at school, and his vision is thrown into color, but hers isn't? Can the two polar opposites really be soulmates, or is there some flaw in the system?
