Under the guise of Sheik, the once-princess Zelda awaits the coming of the hero of legend to free her kingdom from the usurper who stole her birthright. But when she finds him, she discovers the new queen has stolen her likeness: All of Hyrule believes that Princess Zelda grew up to be an evil tyrant, and Link himself is on a quest to slay her. Fearing the worst, the true Zelda hides her identity from the hero. But as the two grow closer, keeping secrets grows harder.

When truths finally come to light, however, it is not only her name that is revealed. An ancient curse is brought into the open, and the very foundation of the realm of Hyrule is shaken. The undying hatred of a god slain long ago must finally be laid to rest, and in the end all must come full circle.

When Zelda is forced to marry a tyrant that would bring her country to ruin, she lashes out at her new husband. The new King plots against her so he can have the kingdom and the Triforce for himself but Zelda has many friends in Hyrule. She must leave Hyrule Castle, her home, with no one but a knight at her side. She leaves with a promise, a promise to return some day, an army at her side and retake her kingdom, liberating her subjects from the King's tyranny. This is a Zelink story but I doubt it will be as good as my first Zelink story, 'A Princess Problem' but let's give it a try. The Legend of Zelda: Blood and Spirit by MiniJen

The surface was supposed to be safe again with Demise defeated, however, its anything but. In the shadows of the uninhabited land lurk rebel Sheikah, who call themselves the Dark Interlopers, who plot against Hylia's human reincarnation, Zelda, and her loyal hero, Link, in secret, building up power to take them both down. Around the same time, Link and Zelda come across a land parallel to the surface, a strange country called Termina, protected by the goddess Terminus. Terminus begs them to help her subdue the mighty Fierce Deity, who was once the goddess's hero before he was corrupted by the demon Majora. Link fights the Deity and defeats him, but he is wounded in the battle and filled with the demon's corruption himself. As he and Zelda return to their own land, the hero slowly starts losing himself mentally and physically, ultimately putting Zelda's life in danger as he tries to fight against something he cannot control. To make matters worse, the Dark Interlopers soon launch a massive attack against the two of them, capturing Zelda and leaving Link for dead. He is found and saved by the mysterious Sheik, the leader of the Sheikah who are still loyal to Hylia. With both the surface and the sky in great danger, the hero must fight to save them and the goddess once more, all while fighting the corruption that he is falling ever deeper into. Post Skyward Sword. references Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess. Rated T for violence, blood, and other things. Involves HUGE amounts of ZeLink shipping. Book 1 of the Bound Destinies Trilogy.
