" 'Come with us',She said. 'It will be fun' She said. 'It'll be okay' She said." I repeated to myself.

I let out a huff and walked into the club.

It was dark and the smell of alcohol, sweat, and throw up made me wanna back out.

I was so tired of being bossed around like some kind of child.

I walked over to the bar and asked for a shot of vodka.

Drunks were all over the place.

Grinding on girls, and what not. It made me sick.

The bartender passed me my shot and I gulped it down.

The acid burnt through my throat.

I got up and accidentally bumped into someone.

"Sorry." I apologized and she looked at me.

"Hey it's You! Ross right?"She asked.

I nodded.
She put her hands all over my body.

"Let's go have some fun mister!" She drunkenly slurred.

"No, sorry."I backed away, but her alcohol stained lips somehow made it to mine.

And from there it was all a blur.

"Are you sure you're okay, sweetie?" she asks. I take the ice pack back. I nod, but it hurts. My brain feels jostled by the littlest movements. "Yeah," I gasp, holding in any acknowledgment of pain. "I'm fine. Thanks." She glances down, and I catch her eyeing my bruised shins. They took the brunt of the impact. "Football," I explain. She nods. "That's a rough sport," she says. A pause. She walks back to her desk. Then, she stops. She turns around. She looks me in the eyes. Her face is solemn. "Hit 'em harder," she instructs. I nod and almost smile. "I will." *********************************************** It's 1998, and seventeen-year-old Stephanie "Stevie" Rogers is attempting the unthinkable: she wants to be the first female football player at Truman High. Too bad the team, headed by her ex and a sexist coach, won't let it happen. Then of course there's her sexist step-dad, who can't know she's playing football or her life as she knows it would end. If it weren't for her cute guitar-playing best friend, Calvin, all hope might be lost. But with his help, and the discovery of a secret so scandalous it could rock the entire school, she may finally get her time under the stadium lights. *************************************************************************** "You're outnumbered. You need allies if you're gonna survive the season. These guys are gonna have your back. You need them." "I don't need anyone," I insist. "Ha," he hiccups. "Yes, actually, you do." He ploinks me on the nose. I scowl. "No one is invincible." I continue to scowl. He sighs. "Just trust me on this one. Okay?" My face softens a little. He's just trying to help. "Fine," I comply. "But don't expect me to smile about it." He grins. "That's too bad. You're pretty when you smile." "Shut up."

"I think that's the best part about music. It's like time travel you know? Going back to the past, or sometimes even visualizing the future...what we could be." "What about the sad moments?" I asked softly. "Nobody wants to re-live those." "Maybe not, but that's the entirety of it," he answered, raising his hand to brush away the hair from my face before tucking it behind my ear. "There's always good in the bad, and bad in the good. Balance." His fingers trailed down my arm, sending shock waves through me. "Can I tell you something?" I asked softly. The corner of his lips curved upwards in a small smile. "You can tell me anything."

"The things I could make you feel" He whispered as he delicately tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear that must have come out of the loose bun while staring right into my eyes with his green ones that were filled with hunger. Being this close to this asshole clouded my senses." I mean I've to get back to work." He smirked lightly, amused by my nervousness. I stepped away from him and my back met with the wall behind me. I averted my eyes away from his and started walking through the hallway towards the bar. When I reached the end of the hallway and was about to take a turn, I glanced over my shoulder. He wasn't there anymore. Rest of the night, I was trying to push him away from my thoughts. // pernicious /pəˈnɪʃəs/ adjective having a harmful effect, especially in a gradual or subtle way. "Sir here is your card. I'll head to my room. Good night sir, Ms. Collins Have a wonderful night" He smiled at her and Jane replied to him with a beautiful smile. The smile I've been dying to see. Suddenly the smile faded when she saw me staring at her. "Where's my key? I need to rest" She asked John before he left and that question brought a goofy smile on my face. "Sorry Ms. Collins, but Mr. Greenwood said you both will be sharing the penthouse" The shock on her face made me want to laugh out loud but her gaze was. If only her gaze could kill. I'll be 6fts down by now. "What!" She yelled. "Came down Jane. It's not as if we're going to share a bed" I replied nonchalantly. But that won't be a bad idea. "You're unbelievable. You perv. Can't I have my space? Gosh!" She said angrily. John noticed the tension between us and decided to walk away. He was about to leave but Jane stopped him again. "John why don't you share a suite with Mr. Greenwood and I'll take your room," She said smiling like she just solved a puzzle. John turned to look at me and I gave him the ' say yes and I'm gonna kill you' look. "Ms. Collins, don't worry you're going to be fine. Bye!" John said and rushed to his room. Good choice my friend, good choice. I turn to face Jane with a smile of satisfaction. "Ms. Collins, I guess you're stuck with me," I said making her clench her teeth. "Am I allowed to sleep in the hotel's washroom? Trust me the last thing I wanna do is to share a space with you" She said and walked towards our suite. We got inside and our luggage was brought up almost immediately. Jane took her luggage and entered her room without saying goodnight. "Goodnight to you too. Don't forget we have a meeting at 8 am," I said out loud for her to hear and she shut her door with force making a loud bang.

Scene 1: "Can I have a drink with you?" He was sitting at the bar counter of one of the high-profile nightclubs when he heard a voice. He turned his face and eyed the woman standing there from head to toe. Gulping the remaining drink in one go, he put the glass on the counter with a thud. "No," he spat and left. Scene 2: A meeting was underway. Her focus was entirely on the presentation when she felt a hand on her thigh. She jerked up and slapped the person who dared to touch her, taking advantage of the dim lights in the presentation hall. "You bitch," the person said as everyone else stood up. The lights were turned on, but she cared less and slapped him hard again. "Get the hell out of my office, all of you," she roared in anger. "You will pay for this," another person said. Scene 3: "Ma'am, please, you've had enough," her P.A. pleaded, but she kept drinking. "You go, I'm fine," she said in a tone that made her P.A. fall silent. Knowing she couldn't say anything more, the P.A. left. Exhausted from drinking, she got up from the bar counter and, with uneven steps due to her drunken state, came out and walked towards her car. She tried to open the door, but a hand came, and everything went blank. Scene 4: "You rascal," she screamed, trying to free her hands, but it was in vain as they were tied with handcuffs. The man, busy filling a syringe, chuckled at her outburst and approached her while checking the injection. "Princess, abusive words don't suit you," he said, caressing her face. She turned her face away to escape his touch. "I'm not your princess, you scoundrel! Leave me," she shouted again, but he made a fake sad pout and gripped her arm tightly. "No, leave me," she tried to thrash around and shouted, but he stuffed a cloth in her mouth and injected her. "No," she screamed in a muffled tone. A tear of pain escaped from her eyes.

"You should do something about that. She's been trying to get your attention all night." Bella chuckles at me before lighting up her joint again. I turn my head and look back at the curly hair that had been staring at me all night. My eyes run down from her hair to her almond shaped eyes, nose and her full lips before going down to her average sized busts, probably a BB cup. I trail my eyes finally to her slim waist and wide hip. She is great to look at and the female is well aware of it. Which is why she is boldly still staring at me when I look up back to her eyes.
