{I am binge watching Glee rn, and I kinda wanted to write this.}
Phil loved to sing, but he wasn't very confident in his singing ability. Dan, however, knew that Phil could sing.
Daily Phil would think he wasn't good enough for Glee Club, but Dan was in Glee Club already and knew Phil would be a star, so he drags him to the tryouts.
