Ellie is a soldier in a world without governments. She is being held by of one of the many debt-recovery corporations. Held, for leverage, to make Ellie do the corporation a favour. Ellie’s daughter will be returned unharmed if Ellie does as they wish. The son of a company director is lost somewhere in the wilderness of post-debt-restructuring America, and hasn't been seen for three days. The company wants Ellie to go and find the kid, and Ellie doesn't know if she can. The one rule she's stuck to all her working life is to never to go to America, but now she might have to. She will have to, if she wants to save the daughter she hasn't seen in years. Si-woo(17yrs) is a student who goes to Seongnam boys(SB)High-school. He is academically the best in his school. He has a small group of "friends" and plays basketball. He is from a well known family in Korea so he often gets bullied for having everything come "easy" to him, but at what costs? He has asthma. He is chill and doesn't hold a grudge, but if he wants to he won't hold a grudge he will give you the consequences right there and then. Aera is a talented 17-year-old student at Dawn Senior Girls School (DSG). Introverted and creative. She is very close with her brother and absolutely despises SB the boys school across the road from hers so much so she can't even bear to see their faces. With close friends Dae, Hana, and Eun-ji, Aera faces senior school challenges with their support. Growing up in a middle-class family, her parents have taught her the importance of hard work, evident in her strong academic performance. As she juggles friendships, family, and studies, Aera is ready to leave her mark on the world. SB is the boys division of the Seongnam High school and SG is the girls division. DSG is the girls division of the Dawn Senior school and DSB is the boy division. Both schools are across the road from one another and their sports teams always seem to end up in the finals against each other. They have always exchanged dirty looks despite being so close. 100 years after a devastating war, leaders of each country decided that the only way to keep peace and civilization was to bring back the way of monarchy. Many countries abandoned the idea of a king and queen ruling over citizens thousands of years ago, but in a hopeful attempt to prevent something as catastrophic ever occurring again, countries came to an agreement. Nothing was a democracy anymore. The people had no say in anything that happens and were immediately killed if they protested against the idea of a monarchy. Princess Lydia Martin is heir to the throne, a soon-to-be queen of America. Her mother and father have been ruling for twenty five years and have to pass down the throne to their only child. Because Lydia is their only child, her safety is crucial. If any harm were to come upon Lydia, then the throne would be at threat and an amateur cousin could rule and America would be in grave danger since they’ve made enemies that would want nothing more than to see the king, queen,and country come crumbling down into pieces. Tensions between the countries are stronger than ever and countries need to be allied with each other since that is the only way to stay alive. Ever since Lydia was a child, her parents have had an arranged marriage for Lydia to wed the son of the king and queen of Great Britain, Prince Stiles. The two are now old enough to wed each other and rule together, but the current kings and queens aren’t ready to give up their throne just yet. With threats greater than ever and people who would gladly see their enemies head on a plate, Lydia and Stiles are tied together and must face the harsh realities of what being royal is really like.
