Dan Howell lives in a world where the first thing your soulmate says to you is on your wrist in their handwriting from the moment you are born. There is only one problem. Dan doesn't have one. His wrist is blank. For years he has thought that somehow the Universe messed up and left him without a soulmate. For years he's have to deal with bullying and taunting from normal people. He's hopeless, and doesn't fit in.
So what happens when he meets Phil Lester, an energetic mute man that has a sentence in Dan's handwriting on his wrist?

And then Dan's parents decide he needs to love someone rather than himself, and when Phil shows up at his mansion steps, Dan's parents grow fond of him- so much that the two are exchanging rings and Phil is moving in with his new spouse.
