The Perks of Being a Musician
Have you ever stuffed up a solo at a concert? Been told you've been playing your instrument wrong despite the fact you've been playing it for eight years? The Battle of the Bands ✓
He took a step closer, the smirk not leaving his face as he could sense my irritation. "I've been looking forward to this for far too long," he laughed, licking his lips. "And for once, I'm gonna be the one knocking the smug smile off of your face." My scowl deepened, confused as to what he was talking about. He took another step forward, standing close enough for me to get a whiff of his minty breath and aftershave. He leaned in towards my ear, speaking loud enough for only me to hear, "We'll settle this with the battle of the bands," *** [Completed] Kylie Thompson had it all; she had the perfect family, a handsome boyfriend, good grades, and she was apart of one of the best marching bands in the state. After four failed attempts with no luck, her teacher throws the trombone at her, and before she knows it, she's out on the high school football field playing in front of a big crowd of people. After over a year of jumping instruments, Kaylee fears that she will never be able to play anything. What if she messed up?
