Alex wasn't expecting to see anyone out in the woods while looking for her next shelter. The two men seemed like obnoxious, loudmouth rednecks. The ones she had to deal with before shit hit the fan. But now, she rarely saw and dealt with people. She preferred it that way, getting close with people is too risky and will end with someone getting hurt. And going against her better judgment, she becomes close with these men, especially the man with the crossbow. This will be based off The Walking Dead but will definitely be different. I haven't written a story in the first person since Broken. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I enjoyed the challenge. This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence. I wrote the chapter (You'll know which one) months before Season8 even started. For anyone that is newly following me or reading my books, I write differently than most.
