Alison was 22 years old and she had her whole life ahead of her, she had no intention of getting married or having kids or even fall in love she just wanted to live life as it is, but one meanless one night stand with a famous MLB player might just turn out different then she thought.

Carly Knight is obsessed with one thing and one thing only .. softball. But occasionally, she can be caught at a baseball game, watching her twin brother, Carson behind the plate. This summer, Carson is accepted onto a travel team, a great opportunity that, from the moment she finds out, Carly can't wait to attend, but there's a problem. And it comes in the tall, green-eyed, incredibly athletic package of Carson's pitcher, Easton Trout. The two form an immediate friendship, bonding over their love of sports and, more importantly, their faith, encouraging each other in the hard times .. because those hard times do come. *** Easton has already been through more than most kids his age. Though most of the kids he hangs around aren't his age at all. Easton is eighteen and still a junior in high school, but it's not for the reason most people think. After a cheating mother, divorced parents, a depression diagnosis, and now, when things finally seem to be looking up, a torn UCL and required Tommy John surgery, there isn't much more he can take. But if nothing else, he has Carly and God. With those two, there's absolutely nothing he can't do. Except, of course, tell Carly how he really feels.
