Kaeya fears Diluc's vermillion eyes. He has ever since the other man returned to Mondstadt 2 years ago. He ignored it at the time, hoping it was a stupid irrational fear that would fade. It hasn't though--- If anything, he thinks he's gotten worse in the last couple of months. Even just the color red is making him do a double-take every time it comes into his vision. The whirling snow dies down slightly, and I realise I'm in the heart of the storm. How had I survived? I glance down at the thick fur covering my legs. Ever consider how one thing can change your life in an instant? Ever been faced with the reality that our time isn't infinite? We all have that problem that's a burden on us, a problem if we just faced it our lives would be so much easier, but its a problem that's so hard to tackle, that it's simply easier to push it to the side for now.
