For all the twenty first century had given, it had still failed to find a way to combat wrinkles in a way that was flattering and effective. Except of course for the Intelligens, the beginning of the twenty second century had allowed their aging to stop, but the Intelligen, or sub-humanoids were grown in a glorified incubator, which apparently meant to some, they were less human. To some.
The underground market for Intelligens meant kidnapping and selling them was "big money" for owners and a life of pain for the unlucky Intelligens who were caught.
But The main reason for the Intelligen business' success was the lack of family to report them missing.
No one noticed Raven's absence because there was no one to notice.
Raven has been an unwilling participant in the Intelligen version of dogfighting for six years when her entire life is upended, can Raven adjust, let down her guard, and convict the people who held her captive without letting herself be consumed with revenge and not justice.
