This is a story set in modern times where anthro dragons and anthros roamed the earth. When a young Templar soldier is ordered to kill a dragon human hybrid that's said to be dangerous, he refuses and instead he courts her as defiance to the kings orders. The king soon finds out and sends a platoon of troops to slaughter them when a unexpected hero saves them. This is the story of young lieutenant Kaine Shaw the beautiful anthro dragoness named flair.

Michael also known as "Wolf" (because of a patch he wears on his kit and helmet) is a member of what was the 75th Ranger Regiment. He finds himself a veteran of a war between humanity and anthros. While he doesn't exactly hate them he doesn't exactly trust them either despite their efforts to rebuild the relationship between species. Unfortunately a good chunk of humanity and anthro kind was wiped out due to the war. But due to the anthros ability to reproduce faster they were able to recover much faster leaving humanity at a loss. Michael finds himself alone and on the run from a one of the most dangerous anthro militaries (at least to humans), known as the Obsidian Front. They continue to hunt down and kill humans forces despite the end to the war, causing proxy wars and often large scale skirmishes between them and remaining human militias.
