The first time Arabella saw elves, they were marching off to war. She thought it would be the last time.

When Arabella finds an injured elf knight in a frozen river, she has no choice but to nurse him back to health. Her duty as a healer demands it. All goes well with her silent companion until he wakes and proves himself to be the arrogant creature the tales warned about. Worst, she learns that his injuries are far more grave and far more difficult to treat than she imagined. Now Arabella is in a race against time to find a dangerous cure for an admittedly handsome, but terribly disagreeable patient. All while Raynor's beautiful violet eyes watch her more closely every day.

Raynor never expected to find himself in the care of a human woman. He expected to die in that river with his men. Due to the nature of his injury, Raynor knows that death is not far off. But there's no point explaining this to his head-strong yet beautiful caretaker, Arabella. Despite the futility of the endeavor, she refuses to stop caring for him and refuses to stop risking her life to try and heal him. Trapped in her small cottage by his injuries, with each passing day he finds himself more intrigued by her fierce, unrelenting spirit. By her gentle, skilled hands. And by her brave, wild heart. A heart that reminds him so much of his own people.

When violence comes to her home in the night, Raynor learns that Arabella has enemies. Deadly ones. Unfortunately for them, Raynor is just as deadly.

"Do you remember calling me 'mate?'" he asked softly, pushing her wild curls away from her face. She blushed deeply, but he wouldn't let her look away. "You heard that?" He nodded with a smile. "It was the first thought she ever shared with me." Skylar pursed her lips. "She likes you very much." "What about you?" he teased gently. "How do you feel about me?" She set her jaw and once again managed to look down her nose at him while staring up at him. "Well... well, I'm rather fond of you, Orion." He let out a relieved laugh and pulled her into his chest again. "What a relief. I was worried it was just me." He nuzzled her temple, inhaling deeply, his dragon fully at peace. The words "I love you" were right on the tip of his tongue, but he knew it was too soon for that. He would have to hold them in just a little while longer. "I'm fond of you, too," he whispered in her ear. <><><><><><><><> Skylar lived her life in fear. Fear of exposure, fear of herself, and fear of her future. So, Skylar lived in constant conflict with the beast within her, all while training to be queen one day. When a fellow king discovers her secret, she is forced to flee or put her entire family in danger. When she meets Orion, the Alpha of a dragon clan, he helps open up a whole new world to her. In this new world, Skylar discovers who she is supposed to be and what she's been hiding from. She finds the beauty of her beast and a love she only ever dreamed of. But then her new world is threatened. It becomes a matter of kill or be killed, so Skylar's new family, with the help of her old, must rise to the challenge to defeat this threat. When dreams stop being dreams, things get confusing. Anna is back - back in a place she once thought was just a product of her imagination. The silvery locks, bluish-grey eyes, and the pointed ears prove that much. Her dreams were memories. The same memories that led up to her death... well, her first death, before she slipped through a crack in the Halls of Mandos. Ash, blood, and fire haunt her, the sounds of a dying, burning city echoing in her head whenever she tries to rest. Coming back from death is never easy. Death leaves scars on one's very soul, but who better to heal those wounds than the company of her kin? There's only one problem. Returning to her kin in Arda means facing the elf she sacrificed her life for. The one whose heart she broke all those years ago. But she doesn't have an option to stay away. Every day the call of the sea grows stronger for him, and it's not his time just yet. He is their emissary, and it's time they finally gave something back. Even if that something happens to be the love he's convinced he lost years ago.
