Poetry
"Doubt as a philosophy of life is akin to choosing immobility as a means of transportation." A found poem is a poem consisting of words, phrases, and sentences taken from the text of another work. They can be from anywhere, such as a novel, arranged in any way you like, with any kind of rhyme or rhythm you please. In this case, the found poem is from the book, "Life of Pi." This was an assignment we had to do for our summer work in school, so it may change as we edit them in class once school starts. Enjoy! (And I feel I should warn readers before I get in trouble for it: SPOILER ALERT. The assignment was to reflect on Pi's growth spiritually and as a person. Therefore, it will also reflect on the plot of the story. Don't read this poem if you haven't read the book, or even seen the movie for that matter. I myself have yet to see the movie, so I don't know how similar it is...)
