"Hanna.." Liam stuttered shakily, tripping over an extension cord and stumbling while taking a step back. "P-please put down the knife".
I adjusted my grip on the curved, familiar, handle of the blade, the sweat releasing in my palms making my hold uneasy. My mind was on replay, telling me to lunge, to plunge the knife straight through Liam's silky skin and watch as his rich red blood oozes onto my white carpet. But for the first time, something was stopping me. A feeling so strong that it somehow managed to stop the urges I was never able to fight.
I stared into Liam's once ocean blue eyes, that now seemed a lifeless grey, like he was already dead. They were glossed over, and that could tell me that his seemingly calm exterior was all an act. He was just as afraid as I was. Everything moved in slow motion, and I was only snapped out of this state when I heard a loud clatter on the floor below me. I looked down to see a knife, no. THE knife that I hadn't even realized I dropped.
My eyes drifted back up to meet Liam's, this time I saw a spark of life in his. Tears streamed down my face and I felt the familiar embrace of Liam's muscular arms engulfed me. I laid limp in his arms while I continued to silently cry. Liam released his grip and I suddenly longed for his embrace again. He tilted my chin to meet his gaze and softly traced the outline of my lips with his index finger.
"I-i'll kill you." I barely whisper, our lips inches apart. My breath hitches as his soft lips brush across mine.
"Hanna, can't you see? I'm already dead without you." Liam hushes, before our lips hungrily smashed together.
