Young River stumbled upon a whole while alone on a sunny morning. As days pasted, he noticed the hole grew and grew. He started to see people in the hole, who grew along with it. The weird thing was, no-one else seemed to notice. Even when River pointed the hole, which was now very big with a mound of dirt at the center, out to someone, they looked at it and asked why he was so excited over a small hole. When he looks back at the hole, all that is there is a small dip. He soon starts to visit the hole alone, slowly starting to hang out in it more commonly. He starts to discover the many secrets and ways of the magical underground society.

Many centuries ago, an unspoken darkness swept across the land taking all that was light and pure in the world with it. Creatures of this darkness roamed free to spread the darkness wherever they went consuming any trace of light remaining. In order to stop The Darkness from controlling the world, a group of priests took the remaining pieces of light and placed them within the body of two chosen children. They became known as the Children of the Light. Their sacrifice was not in vain, leaving behind spoken words for the next generation of children born with the pure light energy within them. Over time an organisation built on these words was formed called The Guardians, who were tasked to seek out the next chosen children and protect them from The Darkness should it rise again. Life for Micah Wilson was nothing but normal. She went to school and partied with her friends, her friends who weren't considered the normal ones of the school, and were often called the freaks and weird kids of the school. But compared to everything else, life was normal. Aside from the fact that Micah had a way of always finding herself on the wrong side of the mean girls, she had little to complain about. Unfortunately for Micah, she had always had a strange habit of crossing paths with one Davy Henderson who was considered the goddess of the school. Stepping on Davy's toes could land one into the worst crossfire's between social suicide and life and death, and when Micah crossed that line, neither hers or Davy's life would ever be the same. All Davy Henderson wanted was to teach the freak of Moon Hill High a lesson, and one that she would never forget. Davy wasn't one to let simple things slide, and when Micah practically embarrassed her in front of her boyfriend and the entire school, Davy knew she couldn't let it slide.
