Vidya Balakrishnan is a 19 year old average teenager. A south Indian growing up in the heart of Chicago, Vidya is full of life. She loves to hang out with her friends, cook with her mom, and mess with her  big brother Eshwar. When Rahul's and Vidya's paths cross, the two unlikely pair end up getting stuck in a situation neither of them are very happy about. They are forced to marry each other and live as husband and wife.  After much protest, the parents come up with a deal. Vidya and Rahul must live together for 6 months and give their marriage a chance.
