Prologue ~
"Caleb, Please, Tell me what's bothering you." There was something bothering him all day but he refuses to tell me what it is.
"You know I love you right?" He says to me while staring at me intensely.
"Yes, Caleb will you just tell me!" at this point I'm pretty sure you can tell I'm annoyed.
"I'm leaving."
"What do you mean you're leaving?" I'm on the verge of tears .
"I'm leaving as in I'm leaving to go to the marine's" he's looking to the ground trying to avoid eye contact with me.
"Oh."
Now I know what your thinking , why haven't I gone ballistic yet . It's because we had this talk about him going to fulfill his dream , but I didn't think it was going to be so soon and him knowing how much I hate this topic.
"I know I told you I wasn't going anytime soon but I'm sorry."
"Caleb When are you leaving?"
He looked up at me and studied my face for about a minute.
"Next week" he finally spoke.
That was the last time I spoke to him. I don't know where he is now and I honestly don't care. He was supposed to be my best friend but he took off without a goodbye.
