Meet Annalise, the queen of a prestigious New York high school. She has everything a girl could ask for, including beauty, wealth, and popularity. However, one day, everything changes when she is forced to live on a farm with her sister all the way across the country for some "change in scenery." She unwillingly leaves the comfort of the city to venture into the great Pacific Northwest. Little does she know, she will never look at anything the same way again.

EXCERPT:

Uh oh. My mother never wants to have a "chat" without some bad news.

"As your mother, I am concerned about your social life. I know you only have one friend, which is abnormal for a teenager."

I nod slowly. This was true, ironically.

"So I've decided a little change in scenery will do you good. I already arranged for you to live with Jennifer on her farm."

I shake my head in disbelief. I can't believe my very own mother is shipping me off to live with someone I haven't seen in 7 years, and better yet, on a farm!

"Is it still a no?" He asked, his voice was deep yet soft at the same time. "Hard and cold." "Oh, come on, Lou! Live a little. I can be your tour guide and show you around town. It'll be fun!" "And why not after school or in the weekend?" "Because there's no thrill to it. Please, Louisa." He asked again. I sighed. "What's in it for me, Liam?" He chuckled. "You get to spend time with me! Liam Gilbert, your tour guide, the guy you come to when you don't want to study!" "Let's make a deal," I smirked, "if I ditch with you then you have to study with me." He looked unsure and I knew he didn't want to. I shrugged. "Okay, I'll see you at home." He moaned. "Fine, but you have to ditch me right now." My face lit up like a Christmas tree and I was truly surprised. "Okay, let's go." * There are a few rules when it comes to ditching class. Rule number one: Don't tell anyone. The teachers, your siblings, your parents. Rule number two: If anybody asks where you were, always say you were sick and rule number three is to have fun. Louisa Shepard didn't know what she was getting into when she agreed to ditch school with Liam Gilbert, her host brother. She had the perfect attendance record, she studied in her spare time and she never missed a class a day in her life. Until she went to America in exchange and met Liam, the guy she could not get away from. Liam did not care about school. He ditched most days, slept in, never studied for anything and his attendance record wasn't exactly great. When Liam finds out that Louisa, the British good girl, was the perfect student, he wanted to have some fun. But, there comes a price. If Liam wanted Louisa to ditch school then he would have to study with her. Louisa had no idea what she was in for when ditching with Liam and some days, it goes further than just ditching class. Louisa and Liam are just going to have to go the distance if they want to keep up with each other. All Rights Reserved 2017 © Sarahxox_16

(Y/N) moves with her father and his girlfriend into a new house. She doesn't like it at all, just like people don't like her at all. There has happened so much in her life that she came in the darkness. The first day at her new school doesn't go liked she hoped it would. She immediately has to do an internship at one of the farms in her new street. She doesn't like animals at all. Which is weird, right? Who doesn't love animals? Or a very sexy farmer? Is all this enough to pull her out of the dark... ? "Hey, are you okay?" I softly ask her. "DO I LOOK ALRIGHT?!" she said angry to me. Wow, didn't see that coming. She looked constantly at the cows behind me and was focused on their every move. I noticed the circles around her eyes, covered up with lots of make up. I don't want to be rude or something, but she looks quite like a mess, although she was wearing these ordinary clothes. I felt sorry for her. It looks like she didn't sleep quite well. What would have happened to her? I hope it wasn't something too bad... "well ehm, I'm sorry for asking..." I looked at her, not knowing what to say. "Are you coming with me, then can I show you around." I asked her, but she stubbornly answered. "NO WAY I'm going through this!!" And I was right, she is afraid. "They don't do anything to you swe-, oh wait what is your name? I forgot to ask you yesterday." I softly said to her. "I'M (Y/N), and how am I sure you aren't lying to me?!" I seriously have to work on this. I know somewhere deep inside, there is actually a good heart in this girl, I just feel it. But How will I find it?

I pushed him after that, greatly embarrassed by my actions and his confession. "You're such a manwhore, Aidan. I really hate you and don't you ever show your ugly face to me ever again." "Says the ugliest girl I've ever seen on this planet, lol. I don't want to see your ugly face again either. You disgust me with your holier than thou attitude. I guess I'll be finally free, without having you to follow me everywhere I go like a dog follows a bone." He yelled with a hard glare on his face and I couldn't help but break down in hysterical tears. I couldn't believe the boy standing before me was the same boy I grew up with. That same boy who would do anything just to make me happy? Like a dog follows a bone? Is that his perspective of me, that I follow him everywhere like a dog? I couldn't control myself as more tears poured out my eyes. "Thank you very much, Aidan. Thank you for your honesty, I appreciate that." I said slowly in hiccups and run away from him. "I wish you a happy sex with Sheldon and the rest of the school population, Emerald. You're free to be a hoe now." He said before I could get out of earshot and that made me cry more. I run upstairs to the comfort of my room and cried bitterly. The words kept ringing in my ear, "ugly, dog, hoe, sex, bone." Everything felt like a dream but it was a reality and I promise to hate Aidan for the rest of my life. _______________________________________________ Emerald Blue Woode seemed to have it all-a loving father, an ideal best friend, a sprawling mansion, and wealth beyond measure. "If you asked me three months ago what heartbreak was, I would tell you it's losing somebody close to you due to unspeakable circumstances. But right now, in this moment, I would say it's you. I would say it's the feeling I got in my chest when I realized I was out of time. When I stood in the rain and yelled for you to stay, but all I saw was your back. I would say heartbreak is lying in bed at two in the morning, watching my ceiling fan go around and around, wondering why you couldn't stop to listen. Two seconds. All I needed was two seconds to say the words. All I needed was to seconds for me to tell you I was in love with you. With everything about you. With the way you move, and the feeling of your arms around me. With the feeling of your chest vibrating as you laugh. Heartbreak is falling in love with everything about you, but having the words permanently stuck in my throat." _____ Gracelyn Levinsky grew up with Daniel Grey.
