The voice spoke, loud and clear : "Jessica Barnes," it snarled, "you are charged with the following : Murder, Theft and Treason." I bite my lip, scared. I know it thinks this. It is the same woman from yesterday. "As a punishment," the horrible voice carried on, "you will spend a month in La Jadoure, a hotel rumoured to be haunted. If you survive, you may forget all charges." I nod, though nobody is here to see me.
After all, a hotel doesn't sound that bad. And monsters don't exist....
Or do they? When 15-year-old Jessica Barnes is falsely accused of committing three crimes, she is forced to say 30 days in a high-class, luxurious hotel, but, as she soon learns, not all is as it seems....
