[frerard highschool au/sequel to headfirst for halos]

Anger manifests itself in Gerard Way, burning away at the softness that once lay there. Everything that has happened has been too much, but he'll never admit that. He can't help but take it out on everyone that walks past him, from his brother's ex-boyfriend, Pete Wentz, to a kid he picked up on that night. Frank Iero.
But something else is manifesting in Gerard, something that feels stronger than the anger and the sadness and the hurt. Love. Or at least something close to it. The need to protect this kid in the same way he desperately tried to protect his brother.

There's a connection between all of these people. Between the sadness and the anger and the hollowness.

They just want Mikey Way back.

[trigger warning for: self-harm, suicide, dark thoughts, underage. literally i cannot stress this enough there are multiple, graphic descriptions of self-harm and suicide attempts please read with extreme caution if you are sensitive to that kind of thing]

𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝟏 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 Aarna never thought two pink lines could shake her world. She stood frozen, staring at the test in her trembling hands. Pregnant. A word she had longed to hear, yet feared the most. Would he accept it? Or would he push her away again, just like before? The door creaked open. Her heart pounded. Sharad's sharp gaze met hers. "What are you hiding?" Her breath hitched. She wasn't ready for this. Not yet.
