But he didn't know that another human, Chara, fell in the Underground along with him. He soon fell in love with Chara but he couldn't bring up the courage. But once he did, Chara died. Soon after that, a few years later, another human named Frisk came and started creating chaos in the Underground by resetting and doing the same routes over and over and over again. But that's not all, after everything has been in peace, a new anomaly comes into the town and wreaks havoc on the Surface. How does Ai know her? Who is she? What does she want with the monster's souls? Finally, who is the mysterious Aaron and why does he have connections with this anomaly?
