Death cursed this city with a plague. The once great city fell to ruin, it's beautiful stone houses and structures soon fell apart, the once blooming flowers fell and decayed, and the streets became deserted, the burning bodies from the makeshift bonfires all over the city polluted the air, anyone who came probably thought it was a ghost town. 14 year old Jane Thornhill was lost in this world once her mother died. She was losing hope and began to give up, until she bonded with a four-legged creature, he became her only family, and he gave her a reason to keep living.

Yes, like my characters you may be left wanting more. Good stuff takes time, give this book a try. Additionally, I started writing this book while I was fresh out of High School, I am now a junior in college. While the writing was not necessarily bad, it has improved greatly with the more recent chapters.
