Liverpool 1867. Like most major revolutionary English cities, a place divided by wealth, industry, class and title. Young master Alex Turner, son of Mr David Turner, a local Mill owner, finds himself ever spiralling out of the boundaries of his expectations and social constraints when he slowly becomes friends with local cocky street wise Miles Kane.
