16 year old Nicole was going thru a tough time. She had this voice amazing beautiful, she saw the world for its beauty and ignored the ugly moments. She was a proud believer in black lives matter she fears everyday she'll loose her dad or brother to police brutality. To escape her fear she sings but her grandma killed her dreams, doesn't let her leave the house, makes her clean up after everyone there. She's like Cinderella without a happy ending. She and her mom wasn't the best of friends, She did a lot of drugs broke their family. Her mother had two other babies which the state took because her mother wouldnt stop the drugs and was selfish. Nicole had one friend who she hurt, but they got thru it. She loved Ebonee she was like a sister to her and she id greatful that she's in her life. Ebonee is the only one who heard the cages bird sing. But she doesn't know why the caged bird won't sing loud neither does Nicole

Think of who created thought! Why do you stay in prison when the door is so wide open? Move outside the tangle of fear-thinking. Live in silence. Flow down and down in always widening rings of being. There's a strange frenzy in my head, of birds, flying, each particle circulating on its own. Is the one I love everywhere? Drunks fear the police, but the police are drunk too.
