Li Bates and Mixtress Vice both played major parts in their parents untimely death, yet, they feel no remorse for them. They learn of an underground city named Harmstead that not many know of, a place for people who had befallen the same fate as them. A chemical called Ripple that has found its way into 5% of the worlds population, rather by blood, or ingestion. These people are good in their own terrible way.

Mixtress and Li meet many years after orphaning themselves and become good friends, but when Harmstead is threatened by something that is beyond them, Li and Mixtress recruit a team of some of the most powerful Ripples in the city and take on this threat head on.

Facing danger is nothing new to them, but can they handle facing themselves?
