Anna Price; the cliché bad girl with trust issues and a horrifying past

Matt Tyler; the stereotypical player hiding behind a mask.

When Anna moved to America for her senior year and met Matt Tyler it was hate at first sight. However, the more she tried to get him and everyone else to stay out of her way the more he fell in love with her.

As Anna began to think maybe she really could put the past behind her and learn to love again, everything suddenly came back to haunt her. But, this time it was different - Anna had a group of friends and a boy to protect, and she wouldn't be going down without a fight.

"Do they not say that a good friendship builds on a ground of lies?" I joke, lightening the mood immediately as his green eyes glint in humor and a smirk falls on his familiar lips. "Do you kiss a lot of your friends, love?" The underlying tones threaten to provoke a blush on my cheeks, but I get myself together. Smirking at him, "Well, of course, is that not the norm?" *********** Dakota Moore is the perfect example of a beautiful disaster. Her wisdom is ready to knock anyone down, her self worth is an exact replica of the way her father raised her, and her pain so intense it screams over every building. She refuses to show anyone what's going on behind closed doors, especially when her lovely father gets the traumatic news that he has an incurable disease. Elijah Black is the spur of the moment kind of guy, he's the one no one ever settles with because of his angry outbursts and rude ways. Even though he throws everyone off, except for when they want sexual advances, he still can't help but feel enthralled by the freckled girl who's hiding so many secrets behind a fake smile. As they clash and try to reject the obvious rush, will they accept their attraction, or is everything just too much? After all, how can two ruined teenagers manage a youthful love without destroying themselves in the process? Dakota is just like every other 17 year old high school senior. Or that's what everyone thinks. Everyone sees Dakota as this funny, sarcastic, and caring girl. What people don't see is how much she is truly suffering inside. People don't know that the smile she always wears is completely fake. They don't know what's really going on at home. They don't see the bruises she has to cover up every morning. They don't see her having to step up to take care of her two younger siblings. She puts on a fake smile as soon as she walks through the school doors and slowly builds her walls up higher as each day goes on. She thinks no one will ever see past her facade...that is, until three new bad boys come strolling into town taking an automatic interest in Dakota. And one certain bad boy can read her like an open book. Will Dakota eventually let these three bad boys in? Or will she keep everything in until she finally reaches her breaking point?
