Was it the way my chocolate black skin glistened? or was it the way I stood with my head held high with confidence. Maybe, it was because the way I flexed my complexion. People looked at me as if I was a sin, being a black girl wasn't easy but I loved the skin I was in, from my kinky curls to my chocolate skin that glowed.

There really wasn't any stopping it. It wasn't my fault that my skin was as dark as the night, or my nose was broader than any other's, my hair was always rough looking and broke easily.
