The truth is out. Rose Quartz, the leader of the Crystal Gem rebellion, was Pink Diamond all along. It shocked all of the Gems, but Steven was the most affected. What pushes him over the edge is when Pearl and the other Crystal Gems still want him to be like her. Near the end of the war, she was sent on a mission and disappeared, leaving her comrades to carry on without her. That is until several thousand years later when she appeared on a certain beach near a small town. As she reconnects with Garnet and the other Crystal Gems, she must confront the consequences of her absence, her volatile power, and the deep bond she shares with those she once fought beside.
