Everyone Maya has ever known is dying.
It started with her greatest of the great grandmother.
Then, her best friend is rushed into the hospital, and is in a coma.
Then, her little brother gets hit by a car.
Then it's Maya's turn. First it was constipation. Then, a doctors visit. And then a hospital visit after horrible pains in her back. Finally, she is told that she needs a kidney transplant. And with less then a month to find a proper donee, Maya is left with nothing but a locket of ashes, a pair of fucked up kidneys, and a fight.
