Post Russian Revolution and after the rise of Josef Stalin, the citizens of the newly formed Union of the Soviet Socialists Republic (USSR) have to adjust to their new lives under Stalin's reign and Communism. Among the citizens, lays a once very wealthy family, the Viktorovich's. They, among others of the once Bourgeoisie, are finding it the hardest to accept this new lifestyle. Vasily Viktorovich, the son of a Tsarist, tries to adjust to his new lifestyle. From 1933 to his defection from the Soviet Union, he documented every moment of his life.
