What if Raven and Qrow weren't the only Branwen sibling's in fact instead of twins they were triplets. They had a younger sister named Maryl, who they both loved dearly.After graduating Beacon, Maryl married Carson Rothery a blood descendant of the gods who had once been on Remnant the God of Light and the God of Darkness 

It is said that only blood descendants may have a part of the power the two gods wielded. But even when they are gone from Remnant  only the two gods will choose who can wiled both of their  powers. They must have a pure heart that is not swayed by self interest, greed, or darkness. And yet they must not fear the darkness either but instead accept it, understand it, and learn to control it instead of it controlling them. maintaining balance of both sides. They must also understand the importance of life and death.

Shortly after getting married, Maryl became pregnant with Carson's child who they decided to name Starling. Unfortunately happy times do not last long  Carson and Maryl are killed by forces of darkness. The only survivor being Starling.

Taken in and raised with Yang and Ruby her cousins who are more like sisters, she starts to learn how to become a huntress. Soon to be attending beacon she will face enemies  with her family, friends, and team. But will she awaken the powers she doesn't even know lie inside of her?
