It's been 100 years since the war started and 76 years since the truce between what remained of Manhattan and the remains of Sydney. The war had raged on and claimed many lives and humanity seemed to have all but destroyed itself.
Plagued by ghostly visions of shadows all her life, Charli knows she's different, but she doesn't know why.
The shadows were the first being on Earth and wish to claim back their rightful home, leaving humanity to its own devices and destroying itself.
Arianne, the leader of the shadows wishes to destroy all humans, but only the shadow hunters stand in her way, but only one can truly kill her, Charli Jane Smith.
