The Hesperides Conspiracy

In the queendom of Great Iris, only extraordinary children grow up to become Treasures. Treasures are educated by the church to become "Vessels of Pleasure." Treasures are spoiled, and pampered and honored. Treasures have very special gifts, supposedly endowed upon them by saints. Treasures are the property of the Queen. Treasures are traded among the aristocracy so that a lucky few might know a variety of Tresured flesh. Bixidore Braithwaite is a young Treasure caught in a nexus of political intrigue and changing times. Instead of the vapid and luxurious future he'd been taught to expect, he is being forced to grow beyond his destiny. He is quickly becoming too smart, too informed, too opinionated to be anyone's Treasure. He is on his way to becoming The Prince of Mists and Clouds.
